Nichola Henderson | Holistic Life Coach, Wellness Specialist & Consultant

Each wellness retreat is uniquely designed and lovingly created by Nichola Henderson. Nic is a Holistic Life Coach and Wellness Specialist who wanted to offer something truly special in addition to her coaching services for private clients. She believes passionately in the power of retreat experiences having had some of her own ‘lightbulb moments’ on a retreat a few years ago.

“Scotland Retreats is inspired from what women have told me they need most, some time out of the daily routine, to relax, unwind, reconnect to nature, to focus and prioritise themselves in a safe supportive environment where they have the space to allow transformation and inspiration to emerge.”

Some Feedback

Nic and the team really want the guests to be able to approach their wellbeing holistically and explore their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing in a time when it is hard to prioritise themselves in their busy lives.

“At a time when people need to take some time out to look after themselves, we wanted to create something that was really special and unique but also local and sustainable. We believe we have a responsibility to show our guests how to raise their level of wellbeing. Now more than ever before, it’s crucial to how we live our lives.” Nic said.

Asked Questions

No, absolutely not. Most people will be travelling alone so we didn’t want them at a disadvantage.

Yes! We want to make coming on retreat as accessible as possible, so once the deposit is paid we can work with you on a personalised payment plan to make it easier for you. The balance however must be fully paid 6 x weeks before the check in date. If you need to be more flexible please let us know at time of booking.

Have no fear, there will never be any pressure to take part in the group activities, whilst we recommend them, if you want some alone time to relax, that’s perfect too. This is your time for you, so you do what you feel is right.

Should you cancel your booking at any time your deposit will be non-refundable due to admin and resale costs, but any additional payments made will of course be refunded to you, unless the retreat is less than 4 weeks away, in which case no refund is possible. Should we have to cancel the retreat for any reason including due to Covid-19, you will receive a full refund including the deposit or have the option to move it to another retreat date (depending on availability)

Absolutely not! Approx 50% of our guests will come solo, and its lovely to have a bunch of like-minded people all together, I have friends from all over the world that I made on retreats and this is something I promise you won’t have to worry about. Its ok to feel nervous, that’s normal, just re-frame it as excitement for doing something new and you’ll be ok.

We recommend comfortable clothes for lounging in, walking shoes or good trainers for group walks, a waterproof jacket – it is Scotland after all! Yoga or gym clothing for practice (if you are taking part) and something to get cosy in the evenings in. Things like slippers and hot water bottles are welcome! We also recommend a journal and pen and anything that helps you relax and unwind.

We can cater for beginners no problem. Don’t let being new to something discourage you, yoga is for everyone, and likewise for meditation and mindfulness. No experience today is a starting point. The new practice will be the experience you have for tomorrow.

Usually, on residential retreats we keep it no more than 16 so we can keep it an intimate experience. We will have 2-4 staff depending on the event. On the day retreats, numbers are currently from 16-24 people.

It’s very unlikely, but we can be pretty flexible, please just let us know asap when on a residential retreat, the only thing we ask is that any allergies are made clear as early as possible after you book so we can plan accordingly. The food will vary per retreat so just email us with any specific info you’d like to know.

A 30% deposit is needed to secure your place. The balance needs to be paid fully 8 x weeks in advance, but you can make payments up until then at any point. We can discuss this with you to spread the cost.
